CONGRATULATIONS NATIONAL WINNERS — Congratulations to the students in the Small Vocal Ensemble, Eliana & Inez Yu, Lauren & Haley Haberstroh, Liz Shendock, Emily Banks who won 1st place in the national AACS competition at Bob Jones University. Christine Fitzpatrick came in second for Physical Science Fair and Jackie Salayda second in Creative Writing: Poetry. Nigel Anderson (Humorous Interpretation) and Emily Church (Bible Teaching) were in the top 7 of their divisions. The following placed 1st in the Garden State and were eligible to attend the national competition. Alex Mazzei – Accounting, Yufang Sun – Advances Mathematics, Joshua Gager – Chess, Alice Drummond – Crafts, Hannah Hutton – Expository Writing: Essay, Peter Holland – Evangelistic Preaching, Isaac Clee – Expository Preaching, Adam Johnson -Topical Preaching, TPA Orchestra 1st place, Lauren Haberstroh – Original Persuasive Oratory, Allison Stefanoni – Biological Science Fair, Joshua Trepiccione – Sculpture.
JERSEY SHORE & DELAWARE VALLEY SCIENCE FAIR — Of the 22 students who went to the Jersey Shore Science fair, 7 won awards. Chris Capo Honorable Mention Chemistry Intermediate level; Christine Fitzpatrick 2nd place Chemistry Upper level; Rachel Cartegna Honorable Mention Engineering Intermediate level; Inez Yu Honor-able Mention Engineering Intermediate level; Vincent Chiara Honorable Mention Environmental Sciences Upper level; Tiffany Franco and Christine Fitzpatrick went on to the Delaware Valley Science Fair. Tiffany placed 3rd for the math Intermediate level of the Delaware Valley Science Fair!!!
MONMOUTH JUNIOR SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM — Christine Fitzpatrick and Chris Capo attended the Monmouth Jr. Science Symposium March 29 and 30. Chris Capo won 3rd place in Medicine and Health. She also won a special award for the Most Artistic for the entire competition. Christine Fitzpatrick won a special award for the best use of photography for the entire group.
SPRING PLAY — The Pilgrim Players will present “Don’t Drink the Water on May 10 and 11. This hilarious spoof follows the misadventures of an American couple, mistaken for spies and trapped at the US embassy in a small Eastern European country. Will Walter and Marian ever get back to their catering business in NJ? Will Axel McGee, the ambassador’s son, avoid an international incident? Can love bloom in the midst of intrigue and uproar? Join us for an evening of fun and see for yourself!
MEMORIAL DAY REMINDER — A special drama presentation celebrating those who have stood between us and danger – the United States Military, past and present, will be in the TPA gym May 23, 9 a.m. All are invited.
HONOR SOCIETY — The following students were inducted into the American Christian Honor Society: Seniors: Casey Mauger Juniors: Toyo Aboderin, Melanie Atallah, Vince Chiara, Matthew Chubb, Alice Anne Drummond, Christine Fitzpatrick, Hannah Hutton, Allison Stefanoni, Logan Walsh, Vivian Wang, and Eliana Yu. These students must have a 3.7 GPA in their junior year and 3.5 GPA in their senior year to qualify. They must be in at least one extra curricular activity and have the endorsement of teachers. The following have been confirmed in their senior year: Emily Banks, Joshua Gager, David Iwanowycz, Mary Quinn, and Jaclyn Salayda.
SERVE-A-THON — Please remember to pray for our students May 7-11 as they are serving the community in the 2nd Annual Serve-A-Thon. Thanks to all who have sent in donations and have helped by sending out letters. God will reward.
OPEN HOUSE — Invite your friends to tour the campus, visit classrooms, meet the faculty and enjoy refreshments during our Open House Thursday, April 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. and May 9 from 9 – 11 a.m.
